While most of the city was digging out from the 24.3 inches of snow that blanketed Haverhill this week, local police were making drug arrests.

Prior to the storm on Monday, Officer Dana Burrill, Jr. arrested Epping, N.H.’s Jennifer Grenier for heroin possession. Burrill also took New Hampshire men Eric Lombari and Bryan Kuhn into custody at the same time at Westgate Plaza, 400 Lowell Avenue.

On Wednesday, Officer Ruben Jimenez stopped a Haverhill man and woman on River Street, arresting them on several drug-related charges. Adam Clough, 35, of 4 Myles Standish Drive, was charged with possession and intent to distribute a Class E drug. Gail Julian, 58, whose last known address was 26 Grand Avenue, was charged with possession of a class B drug.

Derek Wisniewski of Newton was also arrested Wednesday and faces motor vehicle and drug-related charges.

As a result of this week’s arrests, police said fentanyl, crack and heroin were taken off city streets.
