Karen L. (Cate) Duval, 68, Artist

Karen L. (Cate) Duval, 68, the wife of the late Thomas L. Duval, passed away on Monday, March 12, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Derry, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Natt J. and Marie T. (Collins) Cate. She was raised and educated in Haverhill and attended Haverhill High School.

Duval enjoyed the outdoors and with her family camped in the White Mountains. A talented artist, she liked to draw, especially cartoons. She attended most of the local churches’ Bingo games and occasionally visited Foxwoods. She loved shopping, music and dancing. Country and western and the music of the 60’s were her favorites. Family was important to Duval and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and sisters. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Duval is survived by her children, Wendy L. Duval and Thomas L. Duval, Jr., both of Haverhill, her sisters, Vickie Tracy and her husband Robert of Haverhill, Lisa Yell and her husband George of Haverhill, her grandchildren, Craig Duval, Kassandra Coco, John Joseph Coco, Jr. and Skyla Lambert. In addition to her husband Thomas, she was predeceased by her brothers, Barry and George Cate, Steven Gary and John Smart, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, March 17 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 6 p.m.
