Gateway Cities Soccer Festival Coming to Andover

Couldn’t snag a ticket for the 2018 World Cup? Soccer fans will be able to get their fix a lot closer to home this summer in Andover.

Greater Lawrence Technical High School is set to play host to the inaugural Gateway Cities Soccer Festival on June 16, Superintendent John Lavoie announced this week.

Bringing urban and suburban players together, the daylong tournament is made possible through a partnership with sports-based youth organization Beyond Soccer.

“We’re excited to be a part of this event, which will foster relationships between students from throughout the state who are united by their love for soccer,” Lavoie said. “This is sure to be a fun event for players and spectators alike.”

All teams participating in the tournament will play three games each. For more information or to sign up, visit BeyondSoccerLawrence.org.
