Hidden Pig Gastropub to Open on Haverhill’s Washington Street

If burgers and bacon are your thing, get ready to say hello to Haverhill’s new Hidden Pig gastropub. Taking over the long-vacant downtown space once occupied by the Blue Finn Grille, the restaurant is the brainchild of owner Phil Bentham and assistant manager Ashley Holt.

Located at 130 Washington St., the 50-seat pub prides itself on a “burger based, bacon-driven” menu that will be available to the public starting this weekend.

While nine burgers are on the Hidden Pig menu, Holt—formerly of Mary Ann’s Diner in Salem, N.H.—says vegetarians are welcome, too.

“We’re going to have the ‘Impossible Burger’ with a plant-based meat,” she tells WHAV. Salads, grilled cheese, hot dogs and milkshakes are also on the menu.

Bentham, who comes to Haverhill from Salvatore’s restaurants in Lawrence and Boston, will offer craft beer as part of a full liquor license.
