Herbert J. Hartford, 77, of Haverhill, died Sunday, March 4, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
He was born in Haverhill on March 11, 1940, the son of the late Almon and Helen (Janes) Hartford.
Educated in the Haverhill school system, Hartford attended Haverhill Trade School.
He was employed in the local shoe industry and, more recently, as a furniture maker for Brentwood Furniture.
Hartford enjoyed woodworking.
He was the husband of the late June (Duquette) Hartford and father of the late Cynthia Mack.
Hartford’s survivors include two sons, Brian Hartford and Charles Hartford both of Haverhill, two sisters, Helen Casey of Lawrence, Sandra Williams of Rochester, N.H., four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and under the direction of the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill & Bradford.
