Gloria (D’Agostino) Bove, 89, Worked in Haverhill School System

Gloria (D’Agostino) Bove, 89, a longtime Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully on March 3 at the Prescott House in North Andover.

She was born in Lawrence on March 23, 1928, the daughter of Philippo and Aurora (Lorenzo) D’Agostino. She attended Lawrence Public Schools and graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1945, also graduated from the Massachusetts School of Art in Boston with her degree in Art as a fashion illustrator.

Bove worked for Western Electric for 19 years before having her only child Kimberly, then she worked for 22 years as a paraprofessional in the Haverhill Public School System. She was the loving wife of Edward Bove who passed in 2012. After retiring as an educator, Bove and her husband joyfully took care of Austin and Holly, their two adored grandchildren.

Bove’s surviving family members include her cherished daughter Kimberly Paolino and son in-law Robert J. Paolino, beloved grandchildren Austin Edward Paolino and Holly Elizabeth Paolino of Haverhill, niece Gina Giarrusso, nephews Gerald D’Agostino and wife Maureen and Philip D’Agostino and wife Trudy, sister of late Armand D’Agostino who was killed in action during WWII, Albert D’Agostino, Alfred D’Agostino and Dora Giarrusso.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Prescott House for the love and care they have given Bove over the years.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 7 in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Haverhill from 9 to 11 a.m. Services will follow in the funeral home. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bove’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
