NECC Knights Conclude Season with 79-64 Loss to Bristol in Regional Semi-Final

The Northern Essex Community College men’s basketball team saw its season come to close on Saturday afternoon with a 79-64 defeat at the hands of Bristol Community College in the Region XXI regional semi-finals. The Knights conclude the season with an overall record of 17-13.

Alexis Estrella led the Knights offensively as he poured in a game high 20 points. Guney Kilitcioglu and Tom Jacobs also produced double digit points for Northern Essex with 13 and 12 respectively.

Emir Alagoz dished out 12 assists in the losing effort to go along with his seven points. DJ Greenhalgh grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Knights efforts on the boards. After scoring the teams first six points of the game Kyle Martin was held to nine points for the contest.

The NJCAA Region XXI All-Region teams will be announced next week.

Northern Essex Community College competes as a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and sponsors eight varsity intercollegiate sports including baseball, men's basketball, softball, women's volleyball, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's track and field.
