Bette Ann (Yeo) Pyne, 72, of Atkinson, N.H., passed away peacefully on Wednesday Feb. 28 at her home.
She was born in Haverhill on May 4, 1945, the daughter of the late William and Miriam (Soolich) Yeo.
Pyne was a registered nurse specializing in pediatrics. The latter part of her career was spent at Pentucket Area Early Intervention, giving hope and encouragement to many children and their parents. She was an extremely thoughtful person that would go above and beyond to help someone in need. Pyne enjoyed traveling with her family and Siamese cat Minh-Chung Wei. She also loved to bake. Her kitchen was often filled with the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread, cookies, cakes and pies. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved daffodils. She was an animal lover and was also an avid reader.
Pyne is survived by her husband of 47 years Richard W. Pyne, daughter Erin–Elizabeth and her husband William Hanson of Haverhill, son Gregory W. Pyne of Orlando, Fla., sister Alice E. Whetsel of Haverhill, five grandchildren Isabelle and Laila Hanson, Rowan, Brennan and Corin Pyne.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, March 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (Rte. 125) Bradford. Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 11 a.m. in West Church, 767 Broadway, Haverhill. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
