Two city men were arrested for fentanyl trafficking on Haverhill’s South Main Street this week following an investigation by Haverhill Police’s Narcotics Unit.

Warren Hartford, 40, of 23 New St., and Jason Ambrozavitch, 42, of 31 New Hampshire Ave., were taken into custody Thursday by Officer Bryan Bailey just before noon.

In their efforts to elude police, the pair threw bags of drugs out the window of their car near the Haverhill Daycare Center, 367 South Main St. As a result, Hartford and Ambrozavitch were charged with a drug violation near a school.

Hartford is also charged with the reckless operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for police, according to an arrest log.
