Alice M. Goudreault, 100, Former Bookkeeper for Haverhill City Auditor

Alice M. Goudreault, 100, of Haverhill,died Feb. 23, at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, Jan. 8, 1918, she was the daughter of Edmond and Alma (Tremblay) Goudreault. She attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School, graduating with the class of 1936, and attended MacIntosh Business School. Goudreault worked for Carter’s Dairy for 25 years and as a principal bookkeeper for former City Auditor Bill Klueber for 22 years, retiring in 1984 and was, at one time, the acting city auditor.

She was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish and All Saints Parish, Haverhill, and the Third Order of Mary.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers, Eugene Goudreault, Joseph Goudreault, Ernest Goudreault, Edmond Goudreault and Leo Goudreault; and sisters, Leona Sullivan, Blanche Archambault and Eva Phaneuf.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, March 1, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
