Haverhill Police Arrest Lawrence Man, Seize 100 Hundred Grams of Suspected Fentanyl

A Lawrence man was arrested and 100 hundred grams of suspected fentanyl was seized by Haverhill Police during a cross border initiative Friday.

Wilver Soto-Andujar, 31, of 35 Arlington St., Lawrence, was charged with fentanyl trafficking, upon being arrested by detectives in the parking lot of McDonald’s Restaurant, 1180 Main St. The drug has a street value of approximately $4,000, according to police.

“The Haverhill Police Department remains committed to working with our many law enforcement partners in an effort to identify and arrest those that bring this deadly drug into the city of Haverhill,” said Detective Lt. Robert P. Pistone.

The arrest by the Haverhill Narcotics Division came with the assistance of the New England division of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Cross Borders Initiative. Andujar was booked at the Haverhill Police station and is due to be arraigned Monday in Haverhill District Court, sitting in Newburyport.
