Free Winter Coats for Needy Seniors at Ruth’s House

Needy seniors in need of a winter coat may be able to choose a new or used coat at the Thrift Shop at Ruth’s House.

Seniors, 55 and older, who are enrolled in MassHealth, SSI, Food Stamps, Social Security Disability, Veteran’s Aid or Fuel Assistance are eligible to receive a free coat at Ruth’s House, 111 Lafayette Square, as part of an ongoing coat program, according to the Haverhill Council on Aging.

Seniors should bring proof of eligibility to Ruth’s House, Tuesday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
