Miguel Antonio Vazquez, 52, of Haverhill, passed away at Lawrence General Hospital Jan. 30, with his family by his side.
Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Toa Alta and Eleonor Otero. Raised and educated in Puerto Rico, he came to the continental United States in 1990 and settled in Haverhill. Vazquez was very handy, working construction, an auto mechanic and building highways in Puerto Rico. He was employed as a contractor with Early and Sons Construction for many years. He loved baseball and played in his youth while living in Puerto Rico.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Maria J. Vazquez, Maritza Vazquez, Edgardo Vazquez, Jose M. Vazquez; grandmother, Ida Correa; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Saturday, Feb. 3, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service follows in the funeral home at 7:30.
