David P. Labrode appeared before the Haverhill License Commission Thursday night and was granted a one-day beer and wine license for the event.
What is billed as “Haverhill’s largest road race,” the Frozen Shamrock Three-Miler is set to run again Sunday, Feb. 25 from downtown Haverhill.
The race is the first of the three-part “Wild Rover Series” and begins at 11 a.m., behind Maria’s Restaurant, 81 Essex St. Other races in the series are the Claddagh Pub 4-Miler in Lawerence and Wild Clover 5-Miler in Lowell. Most of the Haverhill route runs through the neighborhoods of the Bradford section of Haverhill.
Each participant receives a finisher medal. The medals from the three Wild Rover Series races fit together to form a larger series medal, organizers said. T-shirts will be given to the first 950 entrants. A post–race celebration takes place at the Galleria Banquet Hall adjacent to Maria’s Family Restaurant. The party includes live entertainment, food and refreshments.
