Jonathan M. Schroth, 34, Tattoo Artist

Jonathan M. Schroth, 34, of Haverhill, passed away at his home Jan. 26.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of John “Jack” and Bonnie (Jean) Schroth of Haverhill. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, class of 2001. Born with an amazing gift of artistry, he could perfect his craft through all mediums. Known as “Jonny Cheesecake,” he inspired so many through his creativity. Schroth was passionate about his job as a tattoo artist and was known for his perfectionism within the art and tattoo community. He loved to be creative and created beautiful artwork exclusively for his clients. Schroth struggled his entire adult life with depression and addiction and did the best that he was able to overcome it. As much as he struggled he supported so many who suffer from the same afflictions.

In addition to his parents, he leaves his daughter Averey Adams and her mother Allison Adams of Haverhill; fiancé` Kelly Anne Power of Woburn; sister, Kelly J. Martinez and her husband Adonis of Hampstead, N.H.; grandmother Norma Schroth of Haverhill; grandparents Robert and Pauline Jean of Fremont, N.H.; aunts and uncles, Pamela Jean of New Boston, N.H.; Guy and JoAnn Jean of Bradford; Danielle and David Peterson of Fremont, N.H.; Scott and Belladina Schroth of Amesbury; Shawn Schroth of Haverhill; nieces and nephews, Skyler Schroth, Adonis “AJ” Martinez, Addyson Martinez and Jaelyn Martinez; and many extended family members.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, Feb. 1 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are private.
