Area whiz kids, we’ve got an after-school activity for you! Haverhill’s Buttonwoods invites children in grades 5 through 8 to take part in the Whiz Kidz STEM Club each Thursday from 3:45 to 5 p.m.

The next session is Thursday, Jan. 25 and the club meets weekly through March 15, with the exception of February school vacation week.

Put science, technology, engineering and math skills to the test to learn about optics, chemical reactions and the mysteries of biology. There will also be rocket launches!

The exploration series is held at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St. Tuition is $200 and includes all materials. Sibling discounts and payment plans are available.
