Timothy Robert Michitson, 31, Artist

Timothy Robert Michitson, 31, beloved son of Timothy S. Michitson and Judith T. Gardella, both of Haverhill, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Born and raised in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Central Catholic High class of 2004 and Northern Essex Community College in 2009. Michitson was a gifted artist since a very young age, winning a Market Basket coloring contest at the age of four. He excelled through all of grade school in the area of art, leading him to pursuing a degree in Graphic Arts at Lesley College. He was currently residing in Worcester, employed by Integral Resources, Inc.

Michitson had a loving family who tried for years to help pull him out of the dark hole that addiction and mental illness pulled him into, but, ultimately, his addiction held too tight of a grip on his life, ending any hope and promise he had for a better, brighter future. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his maternal grandfather Philip Gardella of Haverhill, his stepmother Kathy Michitson of Haverhill, sisters Sara (Michitson) and husband Soren Johnson of Huntersville, N.C., Jessica Michitson and Bryana Michitson, both of Haverhill, step-siblings, Joseph Cronin of Haverhill, Caitlyn Wallace and Timothy Wallace, both of Methuen, nephews and niece Nicolas and Alexander Sandoval and Jakob Michitson, all of Haverhill and Declan and Charlotte Johnson of Huntersville, N.C. and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Monica Rose (Turner) Gardella and Beverly (Brooks) and Eustice Michitson, all of Haverhill.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
