Theodora E. “Dora” (Salmas) Karabetsos, 79, Worked at Eastpak

Theodora E. “Dora” (Salmas) Karabetsos, 79, of Haverhill passed away Jan. 14.

She was born in Haverhill, Sept. 28, 1938, daughter of the late Anastes and Elaine (Mirmigelis) Salmas. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School and was employed at Eastpak.

She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Apostles Saints Peter and Paul in Haverhill. Karabetsos loved to play golf, playing cards and loved animals, especially her dog, Fluffy.

She was the wife of the late William Karabetsos, who passed away in 1995, and is survived by her sister Despina “Dee” Savides of Haverhill; nieces and nephews George Rallis, Christos Christopher, Anastes Christopher, Paul Christopher, Maria Boisvert, Arthur Chipouras, Elaine Grosso, Michael Savides and Nicholas Savides; and her close cousin Maria Mirmigelis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, Jan. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m., at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. Her funeral takes place Friday, Jan. 19, beginning at 2 p.m., at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., at Holy Apostles Church, 154 Winter St., Haverhill. Burial follows in the Linwood Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Holy Apostles Church, 154 Winter St. Haverhill, MA 01830.
