Anna J. (Coleman) Mitchell, 93, Worked for New England Power

Anna J. (Coleman) Mitchell, 93, of Bradford passed away Saturday, Jan. 13 at Hannah Duston in Haverhill.

She was born in Somerville on Dec. 11, 1924, the daughter of the late James A. and Bridget (Laffin) Coleman.

Mitchell was a graduate of Somerville High School and for many years was employed at New England Power.

She was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Bradford and was devoted to her family and her faith.

Mitchell was the wife of the late David H. Mitchell and is survived by her children David J. Mitchell and his wife Ok Suk (Su Jung) of Rosamond, Calif., Kathryn A. and her husband Harold Santarelli of Fairfax, Va., John P. Mitchell of Haverhill, James D. Mitchell and his wife Therese of Haverhill, 11 grandchildren Tracie, Gina, Donna, Carina, John, Mary, Karen, Kelly, Ryan, Luke and Trish, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Charles H. Mitchell, her twin brother John Coleman, brother James Coleman and sisters Catherine Johnson, Joan Clark and Mary Coleman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday, Jan. 19 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (Rte. 125) Bradford. Her funeral service will follow at 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. Contributions in her memory may be made to the donor’s choice.
