Haverhill’s Republican City Committee is ringing in the New Year with a new executive board.

Meredith Warren Landrum has been named chair of the Committee, replacing former Haverhill Mayor and State Representative Bill Ryan. A former reporter and press secretary, Landrum owns her own Merrimack Valley-based communications firm Lyric Consulting.

Joining Landrum in 2018 is Haverhill School Committee member Maura L. Ryan-Ciardiello, who will serve as vice chair. Cheryl Ferguson continues her role as secretary.

Landrum is excited about the Committee’s all-female leadership team.

“I am honored to be elected to lead the Republican City Committee and I look forward to working with my colleagues to promote conservative ideals and candidates in our area,” Landrum told WHAV. “I also would like to sincerely thank Bill Ryan for his many years of dedicated service to our committee and to the Republican Party in Haverhill. We are forever indebted to him for all of his hard work and we are thankful that he will still be active with our committee going forward.”

Landrum encourages members of the community interested in taking part in the political initiative to contact her via email at [email protected].
