Grover ‘Buddy’ Cleveland Clark Jr., 92, Carpenter, Contractor

Grover “Buddy” Cleveland Clark Jr., 92, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 21, at Penacook Place in Haverhill.

He was born in Haverhill, Nov. 8, 1925, son of the late Grover C. and Mary (Crane) Clark. Clark was a lifelong resident of Haverhill, having attended local schools and graduating from Haverhill High School, class of 1944. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Clark was associated with his father in the Grover C. Clark Construction Company in Haverhill until 1960. He was later employed as a union carpenter with Carpenter Union Local No. 82 before becoming a self employed contractor in home building. He was building and improving homes around Haverhill while also driving a school bus for the city of Haverhill with the Coppola Bus Company. He worked with the Haverhill Council on the Aging until retirement in 1998.

He is survived by his son John Clark of Winter Haven, Fla., and two grandchildren, Brian and Melissa Clark. He also leaves behind Linda Lewis and husband Bill, Cindy Eaton, Tammy Castine and husband Tom, Pamela Souza and Shelia Scott. He was predeceased by his longtime companion Sylvia Eaton and by his brother Richard Clark.

Services are private and are in the care of Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill.
