Andover Police Charge Methuen Man in Connection with Car Break-In

A 40-year-old Methuen man was arrested in Andover early Friday morning for allegedly breaking into a car and stealing money and other items.

Javier Vazquez was arrested after the car’s owner noticed a man rummaging through the vehicle and Andover police used a K-9 to track the man. Vazquez was charged with larceny under $250, misdemeanor breaking and entering in the nighttime and resisting arrest, according to Police Chief Patrick Keefe. He also had two other outstanding arrest warrants.

The break-in took place near Burton Farm Drive and Elm Street. Police are asking the public to report any other possible breaks by calling Andover Police Department at 978-623-0411.
