Nancy J. (Brown) Guy, 79, Nurse at Salem Hospital

Nancy J. (Brown) Guy, 79, of East Kingston, N.H., died Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Fremont, N.H.

She was born in Haverhill on Jan. 29, 1938, the daughter of the late Frank W. and Josephine (Langton) Brown.

Educated in the Haverhill school system, Guy earned her nursing diploma from Salem Hospital School of Nursing.

For over 40 years, she was employed as a Registered Nurse at Salem Hospital. Upon retiring, she continued to work as a nurse for Salem ENT Dr. John Stavros for 10 years.

Guy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Birch Point Trailer Park and Lake Forest Campground.

Her survivors include her husband of 56 years, David C. Guy of East Kingston, N.H., daughter Pamela Hockhousen and her husband George of Sanford, Maine, son Scott Guy of Salem, Mass., and granddaughters Sarah and Rachel Hockhousen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Saturday, Dec. 23 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:15 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial in Linwood Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
