Ho, ho, ho from the Haverhill Police Department! Sergeant Nick Brown and Officer Jason Pearl joined a caravan of officers from nearly 70 police departments Tuesday to bring good cheer to patients at Boston’s Floating Hospital for Children.
The goodwill trip was organized to brighten the spirits of Swampscott 4-year-old Ruby Mae Millea as she battles stage 4 neuroblastoma. Spending her birthday, Halloween and Thanksgiving in the hospital, Ruby’s story went viral when she asked to receive mail for the holidays.

Brown, Pearl and other officers from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island visited the hospital with Santa, spending two hours distributing gifts and chatting with patients.
