A Haverhill family is counting their blessings after two adults and their two grandchildren made it out safely during a Sunday house fire on Philip Street.

Haverhill firefighters responded to 14 Philip St. just before 2 a.m. on Sunday. While everyone was able to get out safely, Fire Chief William Laliberty tells WHAV the home sustained approximately $150,000 in damage.

The fire’s cause is “most probably electrical,” Laliberty said.

The Red Cross is working with the family to arrange temporary lodging and has issued a stipend to help them get back on their feet.
