Haverhill business Newcastle Systems has been awarded a grant from Governor Charlie Baker and the Small Business Association of New England to support its job creation efforts.

The Ward Hill-based company, which provides wireless workstation equipment, will share in more than $216,000 awarded to 32 companies across the Commonwealth.

In announcing the grants Tuesday, the Baker-Polito Administration said the money supports more than 1,400 jobs statewide.

“Our administration understands the competition many Massachusetts manufacturers are up against and we are committed to supporting continued job growth in the industry,” Governor Baker said. “(The awards) are another piece of our comprehensive strategy to support the future of manufacturing in Massachusetts.”
