First-Ever NECC Finale Film Festival to Showcase Work of 16 Student Filmmakers

Sixteen student filmmakers at Northern Essex Community College are ready for their close-ups during the first-ever Finale Film Festival.

As part of their final semester project for instructor Jeffrey Palmer’s Video and Digital Filmmaking class, students will showcase 25 films that vary in length from two to eight minutes.

The screening event takes place on Monday, Dec. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Lecture Hall A in the Spurk Building on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.

Genres screened during the festival include drama, psychological thriller, mockumentary and romance. Music videos and personal essays will also be aired. All content carries a rating of PG-13 or under.
