Andover is getting ready to jingle all the way right into the holiday season! On Friday, Dec. 1, residents are invited to the town’s “Holiday Happenings” event from 4 to 8 p.m. at various locations in the downtown area.
The festivities kick off at the Old Town Hall, 20 Main St., with photos with Santa at 4 p.m. Throughout the afternoon, residents can peruse a holiday craft fair, enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides and live entertainment. Food trucks, dancing with Santa, a showing of Frosty the Snowman and the town tree lighting will follow starting at 6 p.m.
Fireworks will be set off around 7:45 p.m. at the Playstead, 40 Whittier Court.
Locations for the Holiday Happenings activities include Downtown’s Main Street, Old Town Hall, Memorial Hall Library, Andover Historical Society, Center at Punchard and The Park at Chestnut and Bartlett Streets.
