Kay (Wallace) Reardon, 82, Taught for 25 Years in Haverhill Public Schools

Kay (Wallace) Reardon, 82, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Sunday, Nov. 11.

Born in Haverhill on November 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Louise (Kelly) Wallace.

Reardon attended Haverhill High School from 1948 to 1950 and Rogers Hall from 1950 to1952. She continued her education at Syracuse University where she earned her teaching degree in 1956 and was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta Sorority. Reardon’s career teaching in the Haverhill Public School System spanned 25 years before retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Universalist Unitarian Church and volunteered her time to organizations including the United Fund and The National Geographic Society. Following her move to Kingston, N.H., she was a member of the Kingston Day’s Committee and Board member of the former Carriage Barn Equestrian Center.

She is survived by her children, Debra Reardon of Manchester, N.H., Kimberly Zinn of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and her children Connor and Mikaela; Todd Reardon and his wife Christine of Kingston and his son Stephen; Jennifer Reardon and her fiancé Jack Murrey of Kingston and her children Brianna Giorgi, Anthony Giorgi and Olivia Giorgi, all of Kingston.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 4 p.m. At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours and burial at Linwood Cemetery will be private. Donations in Reardon’s memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
