A Haverhill juvenile is recovering from a gunshot wound after being shot Wednesday afternoon on Bellevue Avenue.
Haverhill Police responded to the area of 51 Bellevue Avenue at 2:06 p.m. Wednesday and found a male juvenile on the sidewalk. The victim was taken to the hospital with what police said was a non-life threatening injury. The police did not release the victim’s name, nature of injury or a motive for the crime.
The shooting is currently under investigation.
This is the city’s second shooting this week. On Monday, officers were dispatched to Varnum Street, between Washington and River Streets, for a reported drive-by shooting.
