Jack Raymond Pearl, 84, Mechanical Engineer

Jack Raymond Pearl, 84, a lifelong resident of West Boxford, passed away Monday, Nov. 13 at his residence.

He was born in Haverhill on Sept. 7, 1933, the son of the late Raymond and Clara (Killam) Pearl.

Pearl was educated in the Boxford Elementary Schools, graduated from North Andover High School and received his BS from the University of Massachusetts. In 1958 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1960 and continued to serve in the reserves until 1964. He was employed at Davis and Furber, Raytheon and retired from the former Western Electric as a mechanical engineer.

Pearl was a member of the Second Congregational Church of West Boxford, a lifetime member of the Boxford Grange and a member at the Haverhill Hound Rod and Gun Club as well as the Odd Fellows of Newburyport.

He is survived by his three children, Jeffrey D. Pearl and his wife Tracy of Edmond, Okla., Wendy S. Pearl and her husband Aaron Katz of Beverly and John E. Pearl and his wife Andrea of Newmarket, N.H.; sister, B. Nancy Pearl of Haverhill, seven grandchildren, Lauren, Amanda, Ryan, Sydney, and Josephine, Leah and Sophie; his former wife Nancy A. Pearl of West Boxford as well as several nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Friday, Nov. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., (Rt. 125) Bradford. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, West Boxford.
