Renee L. (Scarborough) Jackson, 63, Cook at Stevens-Bennett Home

Renee L. (Scarborough) Jackson, 63, a resident of Groveland for most of her life, died Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Merrimack Valley Hospital.

Born in Melrose, the daughter of the late William and Valerie (Sentner) Scarborough, she was mostly raised and educated in Groveland schools and Pentucket Regional High School.

Jackson worked for several years as a cook at the Stevens-Bennett Home in Haverhill and was the first and only woman employed by the Groveland Highway Department. Most recently, she worked as a caretaker for the Adult Foster Care Program under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Devoted to her nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, she was an avid Patriots fan and enjoyed trips to York Beach.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Danny M. Jackson of Groveland, brother William R. Scarborough of Groveland, sister Charlene Inch of Groveland,“her girls” Tina Hutchinson and Tina King of Groveland, aunt Charlotte Sentner and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters Denise Dick and Donna Jackson.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
