Joseph L. Butruccio, 82, Retired from Raytheon

Joseph L. Butruccio, 82, passed away Nov. 7 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a battle with kidney cancer.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Joseph L. Butruccio, Sr. and Mary (Mann) Butruccio. A lifelong Haverhill resident, Butruccio was a graduate of Haverhill High School’s class of 1950. He was employed in the Shoe Shop in Haverhill and Raytheon in Lowell and North Andover, where he worked for 20 years until his retirement in 1990.

Butruccio enjoyed the Rockingham race track and the Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and Plainridge Park casinos. Always doing things around the house, he painted, mowed the lawn, trimmed hedges and was always giving and doing good for others. He adored his dogs Major II and Elliot II.

Butruccio is survived by his longtime companion of 33 years, Pamela Andrews of Haverhill, cousin John Butruccio and his wife Julie of Fremont, N.H. and cousin Richard Noury. He will be deeply missed by his friends at Dunkin Donuts and the Tuscan Kitchen, the place he loved to eat. The family would like to thank Lahey Clinic, Dr. Krishna Gunturu and the VNA Hospice.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, Nov.13 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill. Burial is private.
