Holy Family Hospital has been recognized for its commitment to patient safety with a fall 2017 ‘A’ grade from the national industry watchdog The Leapfrog Group.

One of 832 acute-care facilities nationwide to be awarded the highest mark, Holy Family was applauded for its capacity to keep patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors.

“Patient safety is of utmost importance. It’s the reason why we continually raise the bar to improve patient care, and why we strive to hire the most qualified health care professionals possible. Excellent training and attention to detail make a difference,” said Holy Family Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs, Quality and Safety John Alexander, MD.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is calculated using 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data and assigns more than 2,600 U.S. facilities a grade of ‘A’,’B,’ ‘C,’ ‘D’ or ‘F’ twice per year.
