Peter M. Gaff, 80, Worked at Canobie Lake Park

Peter M. Gaff, 80, husband of the late Kitty F. (Nault) Gaff, passed away Oct. 31 at Lawrence General Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Mary B. (Corbin) Gaff. Raised and educated in Lynn, Gaff attended Lynn Public Schools. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country honorably during the Korean War.

Over the years, Gaff was a plumber, a truck driver for National Freight, an employee at Borden Chemical in North Andover and a night watchman at Canobie Lake Park until his retirement. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Chelsea. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Gaff is survived by his children, Glenn R. Gaff, Scott Gaffand his wife Jennifer, Deborah A. Gaff, Donna M. Poissant and her husband Richard, Bonnie M. Fritschy and her husband Kevin, Kimberly AnnePayan and her husband Leskuin; his siblings, Robert Gaff; Bernham Gaff and his wife Sharon, Donna Whitney and her husband Thomas, sister-in-law Winifred Nault, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son Peter M. Gaff, Jr., brother Vincent Gaff, sister Lois Rosetti and sister-in-law Anita Gaff.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Atkinson Cemetery, Main Street, Atkinson.
