June M. (Shugrue) Iasimone, 82, wife of the late Ralph A. Iasimone who passed away in July, passed away Oct. 27 at Holy Family at Merrimack Valley Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Cadorette) Shugrue. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School’s Class of 1953. Iasimone was employed as a Quality Control Tester at Lucent Technologies. While her husband enjoyed his role as head of the household, Iasimone was the heart and soul of the family, selflessly taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with her husband and friends and loved family gatherings and holidays, especially Christmas.
Iasimone is survived by her children, Ralph A. Iasimone, Jr. and his wife Sheilah (Montefalco) of Avon, Lisa M. Iasimone-Jones of Haverhill, five grandchildren, Matthew, Madelaine, Megan Scanlon, Tiffany Simione, Ashley Jones, two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Aubrey and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Iasimone is predeceased by her brother George “Bunny” Shugrue and sister Shirley Smith.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m.. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill at 10 a.m.
