Gobble gobble, indeed. Haverhill’s Kiwanis Club will host its second annual Turkey Drop fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 4 at Murphy’s Garrison Golf on Hilldale Avenue.

Weather permitting, 100 rubber turkeys will be dropped from a helicopter at 1 p.m. onto a grid of 400 squares marked with random numbers. Ticketholders will be issued numbers in advance and if their number corresponds to a winning turkey square, they will receive a prize. This year’s prizes include restaurant gift cards and gift cards, wine, frozen turkeys and pies from Mann’s Orchards.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online via the Kiwanis website or at one of the following locations. Funds raised will support Haverhill High and Whittier Tech scholarships and camp scholarships for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Haverhill and Haverhill YMCA.

  1. Interesting comment today in The Eagle Tribune’s Sound Off section.
Someone implied that Andy Vargas thinks the statue of Hannah Duston in GAR Park is racist and wants to remove it.

Does this come as a surprise to anyone who follows what is going on across the country with far left wing liberals removing anything to do with our country’s history that hurts their feelings or they find objectionable in some insane way?
