Daniel T. Silveira, Jr. 66, Retired from MVRTA

Daniel T. Silveira, Jr. 66, of Haverhill passed away on Wed. Oct. 25, 2017 at Wingate of Haverhill.

He was born in Lawrence on May 12, 1951, the son of the late Daniel T. and Hazel (Rodrigues) Silveira and was the youngest of seven siblings.

Silveira was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1971, Northern Essex Community College in 1973 and Gordon College in 1981. He was employed at the MVRTA for 18 years, retiring in 2001.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years Kristen E. (Merrill) Silveira of Haverhill, sisters Gloria and her husband Peter Peluso of North Andover and Marjorie and her husband Michael Costello of Derry, N.H., brother William Silveira of West Virginia, sister-in-law Jacqueline Silveira of Methuen, godson Joshua Silveira of Hampton, N.H.,his mother-in-law Neila Merrill of Kingston, N.H., several nieces and nephews and his Irish setter Briar Rose.

He was also the brother of the late Robert, Donald and Joseph Silveira.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service on Sat., Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery, North Rd. Kingston, N.H.. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday at West Church, 767 Broadway, Haverhill. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford.
