Lucille Beatrice (Benoit) Thibodeau, 96, Worked in Shoe Industry

Lucille Beatrice (Benoit) Thibodeau, 96, of 50 Knoll Point Drive, Moultonborough, N.H., formerly of 12 Victor St., Haverhill, died Oct. 17, at her home.

Born Oct. 3, 1921 in Haverhill, Thibodeau was the daughter of the late Nora (King) and the late Arthur T. Benoit of Haverhill. Thibodeau was a 1940 graduate of Haverhill High School. Primarily a homemaker for most of her life, she worked in the local shoe industry and for Western Electric as a young woman. She was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Parish and All Saints Parish in Haverhill and recently of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Meredith, N.H.

She was an avid reader and had a keen interest in history and politics. She was an artist in oils and water colors and was an excellent baker and wedding cake decorator. She loved flowers, music, little children and her religion.

Thibodeau is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carmen Proulx of Milford, Conn., Carol and Ernest Vincent of Moultonborough, N.H., Cathy Thibodeau and Jeffrey Simone of Ledyard, Conn.; and by their children, Jennifer Tingets of Milford, Conn., Brian Vincent of Auburn, N.H., Mark Vincent of Boston, David Vincent of New York, N.Y., Elaine Simone of Ashburn, Virg., and Adam Simone of Pittsburg, Penn.; and by her great-grandchildren, Emily, Chelsea, Jane and Robert Vincent of New York City, Samantha Tingets of Milford, Conn. and Harper Vincent of Auburn, N.H.; and by her sister, Harriet (Mrs. Donald) Jackman of Atkinson, N.H. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Louis, who died in 2010, her sister, Pauline Benoit and her son-in-law, Thomas Proulx.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, Oct. 21,  from 9:30 to 10 a.m., in the vestibule of All Saints Church, Haverhill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in All Saints Church. Burial takes place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill. Arrangements are under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill.
