Spooky, silly or just plain festive: Hilldale Cemetery wants to see Haverhill residents’ best pumpkin carvings. To celebrate Halloween, the Hilldale Cemetery Association is hosting its first annual Pumpkins on Parade event on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.

Individuals and groups are invited to submit a carved pumpkin as part of the contest. A $5 suggested donation is requested for each entry and battery operated lights are the one type permitted.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. for drop-off, with viewing and judging at 6 p.m. Prizes will be awarded at 7:30 p.m.
