A 42-year-old Haverhill man was charged with cocaine trafficking and possession of fentanyl after Haverhill and State Police Wednesday conducted a search at the man’s home.

Federico Gonzalez, of 76 Harrison St., was arrested at about 11 a.m. after police obtained a search warrant and entered his home.

“He had crack on his person and fentanyl in his home,” said Detective Lt. Robert P. Pistone, police spokesman. He said Haverhill narcotics officers made the arrest with the assistance of the state police’s violent fugitive apprehension section.

Gonzalez was charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute and cocaine trafficking. He was scheduled to have been arraigned in Haverhill District Court, sitting in Newburyport.

In other police news, a 21-year-old homeless man was charged with lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct after being caught in a sex act early Wednesday afternoon, at Swasey Field.

Cody Glazier, listed as staying at a Haverhill homeless shelter, was arrested shortly after 1 p.m.

  1. Wouldn’t it be nice know if Federico Gonzalez was, in fact, a “Haverhill man”?
It would have taken no time to ask Detective Pistone his immigration status and report it here.

Who wants to bet Federico is friends with Andy Vargas on Facebook?
