Jillian Scalfani, 35, Worked at Super Cuts in Stoneham and Methuen

Jillian Scalfani, 35, lifelong Haverhill resident passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 30, surrounded by her family and her closest friends at the High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill.

Scalfani fought cervical cancer for nearly four years. She was born and raised in Haverhill and attended Haverhill Public Schools. She worked as a certified nurse’s assistant for many years until she graduated from Blaine Hairdressing School and worked at Super Cuts in Stoneham and Methuen for most of her professional career until she could no longer work.

She was a proud ambassador for Cervivor, a group of women fighting for a cure and raising awareness of cervical cancer. Scalfani was an optimist even on her worst days, staying positive and always making her family and friends laugh!

Scalfani leaves her children Jayden Johnson, 14, and Joseph Rickard, 5; partner, Joseph Rickard; mother, Rose Scalfani; grandmother, Jude Scalfani Greene; sister, Brittney Scalfani; aunts, Mary Scalfani and Pamela Perkins; uncle, Donald Perkins; cousins Kaylynn Perkins and Ryan Gleed; her dedicated extended, family Lisa House, Heather Riley and Kelly Macdonald Bekker, who selflessly cared for her. Scalfani’s loved ones thank the staff of the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill for the love and care they have given to Jillian.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Haverhill, from 4 to 7 p.m. Words of remembrance begin at 6:30 p.m. Private burial takes place at a later date in Linwood Cemetery.
