Barbara F. (Moore) Piccolo, 85, Worked for GE, Raytheon

Barbara F. (Moore) Piccolo, 85, of Bradford, passed away peacefully Thursday night, Sept. 28, in Haverhill, surrounded by her family.

Piccolo was born Nov. 27, 1931, daughter of John R. and Gertrude (Meade) Moore. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She worked for several years for General Electric and Raytheon until she started her family, raising her children in Bradford. She was married almost 60 years to her husband Morris J. Piccolo.

Her activities included being an avid tennis player for many years at Cedardale Athletic Club and enjoyed playing the card game bridge as well as cheering on her beloved Red Sox and Celtics. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Rita’s Church and Sacred Hearts Parish.

In addition to her husband Morris, her surviving family members include her children John Piccolo of Worcester, Marianne Brown of Bradford and Barbara Greenwood and husband Ricky of Bradford; grandchildren, Daniel Piccolo, Lindsey Piccolo, David Carleton III, Kristina Brown, Katie Brown, Rachel Greenwood, Derek Greenwood and Joey Greenwood; great-grandsons, Jax and Jojo Greenwood; siblings Nancy Roy of Lynn and James Moore and wife Patricia of Lynn; sister and brother in-laws Rose Palmer and husband Earl of Bradford, Grace Jameson of Haverhill, Daniel Piccolo and his late wife Kay of Plaistow, N.H., Joseph Piccolo and wife Jane of Arlington, Virg., and Marianne Moore of Nahant; many nieces and nephews; her deceased family members include her siblings Eleanor Moore, Joan Biggio and husband Al and John Moore, Jr.; sister in-law of the late Santa Januszewski and daughter in-law of the late Fortunata Piccolo.

Calling hours were this morning at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Bradford. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m., in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main Street, Bradford. Burial follows in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
