Emmaus will honor Rep. Brian Dempsey with the Community Builder Lifetime Achievement Award at its 15th annual “Paving the Road Home” breakfast fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 5 at Northern Essex Community College’s Hartleb Technology Center.

With a 2017 theme of “Where Everybody Matters,” the non-profit community housing organization’s event will donate a portion of its proceeds to shelters impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

“We will gratefully give a portion of our proceeds to sister shelters down south in hurricane-ravaged areas. After all – we are proud to be Emmaus – ‘Where Everybody Matters,’” Emmaus’ Director of Philanthropy Gretchen Arntz said in a statement.

In addition to honoring Rep. Dempsey, the breakfast will include an update on the health of the agency by Executive Director Jeanine Murphy. Jane Banks, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Division of Housing Stabilization, MA Department of Housing and Community Development, will be the morning’s featured speaker. A sign language interpreter will be on hand for those who are hard of hearing or deaf.

On the morning of the event, registration begins at 7:15 a.m., with a breakfast buffet served from 7:30 to 8 a.m. The program and speakers will follow starting at 8 a.m.

To attend, RSVP online by Sept. 29 or call 978-241-3425. You can also email your RSVP to [email protected].
