Registry of Motor Vehicles to Offer Services at AAA Haverhill Office

While officials are sorting out the location of a new Registry of Motor Vehicles office in Haverhill, license and registration services are available beginning today at AAA Northeast’s Kenoza Avenue office.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was planned Monday morning with Deputy Registrar Mary Tibma and AAA officer at 90 Kenoza Ave.

David Van Dam, chief of staff to Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini, told city councilors recently the Registry is moving out of City Hall in the spring.

“The mayor’s goal has been to get the Registry of Motor Vehicles to vacate City Hall and keep them in Haverhill. The mayor has achieved that goal,” Van Dam said. Van Dam said the Registry’s new location can’t be divulged until a lease agreement is completed.

AAA Northeast already offers certain registry services at various branches including Lowell and Newburyport.
