Whiz kids get ready: Haverhill’s STEM club is seeking new members for its fall session aimed at students in grades 5 through 8.

For eight weeks beginning on Sept. 21, 12 students will have the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and math through experiments and challenges led by a licensed science teacher. The Whiz Kidz program will host students aged 10 to 13 each Thursday at Buttonwoods Museum from 3:45 to 5 p.m.

On tap for this fall’s attendees are a rocket launch, the building of their own periscope and much more.

The eight-week session is $200 and includes all supplies and safety gear.
