Holy Family Hospital in Methuen invites members of the community to learn healthy Indian cooking tips during a “Good Eating: Healthy Indian Food” seminar on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Shilpi Ranjan, owner and instructor of EZCompliments Indian cooking classes, will prepare a variety of dishes using lentils and Indian spices, at the seminar, which takes place from 6 to 7 p.m. at 70 East Street in the ground floor auditorium. The dishes she prepares will be diabetic-friendly.

“Delicious Indian cuisine does not necessarily have overpowering spices,” the chef said. “I believe in adapting spice levels when cooking. You want the end result to please the most discriminating palate.”

To sign up for the cooking event, please call Karen Kennedy at (978) 687-0156, ext. 2007 by Tuesday, Sept. 12.
