Update: Weather Adjusts Feast of the Three Saints Weekend Schedule

Update: Expected rain Sunday is bringing a few schedule changes to the Feast of the Three Saints.

The Saints are coming out Saturday afternoon at 4, following the traditional Feast route and with the usual confetti and fireworks. The Saints arrive at the intersection of Newbury and Common Street around 7:15 p.m. and, for the first time, will witness the Torchlight parade. They will move to Common Street for the Moment of Glory at about 9 p.m. in front of the Society Building and return to the church around 10 p.m.

When the Feast of the Three Saints opens tonight at 6 p.m., in Lawrence, the St. Alfio Society will be asking the public to help those in Texas impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

There will be water jugs around the area to collect these donations throughout the weekend. The society will match donations up to $2,500. All proceeds will be given to the Salvation Army for relief efforts.

The Feast begins at Lawrence City Hall with a procession to Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church. The main stage opens at 8 p.m. with performances by Steven Savio and Aaron Caruso. The Belairs perform at 8:30 on the Tripoli stage.

Saturday events begin with Feast of the Three Saints Run for Veterans at 8 a.m. and then other activities beginning at noon. Saturday highlights include a Cannoli eating contest at 2 p.m. at the Tripoli stage, Torchlight Parade at 6 at the corner of Common and Newbury Streets, ending with fireworks and Cantata played by the St. Alfio Band. Other performances include Doo Wop Deville,Vanessa Salvucci and Beatlejuice.

Weather permitting, Sunday events begin at noon and include Feast of the Three Saints first annual Youth Battle of the Bands.
