Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini’s office is collecting relief supplies for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

The storm, which has left behind more than 24 trillion gallons of water, caused massive flooding across the Houston area and claimed at least 37 lives. The storm made landfall early Wednesday morning near Cameron, La., and moved north.

The mayor’s office said needed items are diapers, baby wipes, dog and cat food, power strips and toiletries. They may be dropped off Thursday at Fiorentini’s office at Haverhill City Hall, Room 100.
