Haverhill Police Charge Dover, N.H., Man with Fentanyl Drug Trafficking

A Dover, N.H., man was arrested Wednesday by Haverhill Police and charged with trafficking in the deadly drug fentanyl.

Twenty-seven-year-old James Meattey was arrested at 3 p.m., Wednesday, at 187 Main St. Besides the drug charge, he was arrested on a warrant relating to negligent operation of an automobile.

In other police news, 24-year-old Reyman Ortiz Jr., of Lawrence, was arrested at about 2 p.m., Wednesday, in Washington Square. He was charged with possession drugs with intent to distribute. He was also arrested on a warrant relating to possession of drugs with intent to distribute, drug violation near a school zone and possession of drugs.
